Static Electricity





Snake Charmer Static Experiment

Materials:
tissue paper
plastic ruler
scissors
something made of wool

Procedure:
1. Using a piece of tissue paper, draw a spiral inside.
2. Cut out the snake following the line you drew.  If you like, draw on a face and some wiggly lines with a felt tip pen.
4. Rub the plastic ruler vigorously with the wool, then hover the ruler over the snake’s head.
5. The snake will begin to rise off the table!
